Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive English lessons to students across various age groups and abilities.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and active learning.
Develop and implement appropriate assessment methods to evaluate student attainment.
Utilize a variety of instructional techniques and resources to meet the diverse needs of students.
Collaborate with colleagues to create and enhance the English curriculum.
Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to support their academic and personal development.
Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and colleagues regarding student progress and any concerns.
Participate in faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, and school-wide events as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification (Must be exact equivalent)
Previous experience teaching English at GCSE level (experience at KS5/A Level is desirable).
Deep knowledge of the English curriculum, including literature, language, and writing skills.
Strong understanding of effective teaching strategies and assessment methods.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
