Nanny
We are a warm, welcoming and easy-going family based in Notting Hill looking for an experienced, proactive and caring full-time nanny to join our household and care for our three children aged 6, 10 and 12.
This is a sole-charge role suited to someone who genuinely enjoys building long-term relationships with children and becoming an important, trusted part of family life. We are looking for someone kind, emotionally intelligent, organised and energetic, who enjoys creating a happy, calm and engaging environment for children to thrive in.
Our household is fully staffed and informal, and we value warmth, positivity, independence and good communication. However, we have a strict zero gadget policy not allowing TV, Ipads or Games apart from the school necessity.
The Role
During school term time, the position offers a very balanced schedule. The two older children are at school full-time and return home by school bus, while our youngest daughter is in Year 1. Much of the role during the day focuses on helping manage the children’s routines, organisation and activities, together with caring for our youngest before afternoon pick-ups and after-school time.
Importantly, although the role is lighter during school hours in term time, this is a fully salaried full-time position throughout the year. During school holidays we travel frequently within the European Union, and we are looking for someone happy to travel with us and work fuller, longer days during those periods.
We would love to find someone who enjoys travel, outdoor activities, creativity and becoming part of a fun and supportive family environment.
German-speaking candidates would be especially welcome, although this is absolutely not essential. Additional languages are considered a lovely bonus.
Key Responsibilities
• Sole-charge care of our 6-year-old daughter during the day in term time
• School pick-ups and after-school care for all three children
• Supporting homework and encouraging independence and curiosity
• Organising creative activities, outings and playdates
• Managing school uniforms, sports kits, supplies and children’s schedules
• Helping with birthday presents, activity planning and general organisation
• Creating a warm, emotionally supportive and calm environment
• Travelling with the family during school holidays (essential)
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
• Warm, positive and genuinely passionate about working with children
• Highly organised, proactive and naturally helpful
• Energetic, active and happy spending time outdoors
• Emotionally intelligent, calm and nurturing
• Able to work independently while coordinating smoothly within a fully staffed household
• Comfortable travelling frequently with the family during school holidays
• Confident managing children’s routines and logistics with attention to detail
• Familiar with basic computer and organisational tools
Details
• Full-time position
• Monday–Friday
• Lighter half-day schedule during much of term time
• Fuller and longer working days during school holidays and travel periods
• Live-in or live-out considered
• Flexible start date for the right candidate
• Excellent salary above market rate depending on experience
This role would suit a professional nanny looking for a long-term position within a warm, respectful and well-organised household where they can truly become part of the family’s life.
