We are delighted to offer a permanent position for a KS2 Class Teacher (Year 3, Year 4 or Year 5 depending on experience) at an Ofsted-rated Outstanding mainstream primary school in Welling, Bexley, starting January 2026. This opportunity is open to both full-time and part-time applicants, and is ideal for an experienced teacher or a strong ECT ready to flourish in a supportive and enriching environment.

The Role

  • Position: KS2 Class Teacher (Year 3, Year 4, or Year 5 – assigned based on experience and preference)
  • Location: Welling, Bexley (Greater London)
  • Start Date: January 2026
  • Contract: Permanent – Full-Time or Part-Time considered

In this role, you will:

  • Teach a well-behaved and enthusiastic KS2 class with the support of a strong leadership and teaching team
  • Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Inspire children to develop independence, resilience, and a lifelong love of learning
  • Assess pupil progress effectively to ensure all children achieve their best
  • Collaborate closely with year group partners and contribute to the wider school community
  • Take part in trips, events, and enrichment activities that enhance the learning experience

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally in Year 3, 4 or 5
  • A secure understanding of the KS2 curriculum and high standards for teaching and learning
  • Excellent classroom practice with strong behaviour management skills
  • A nurturing and child-centred approach
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and organisational abilities
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and active participation in school life
