Private Sector Housing Team Manager
Private Sector Housing Team Manager needed in Ilford Paying £24.52 per ref OR23928
Full time hours on a temporary basis
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and support a team of officers delivering private sector housing functions
- Oversee HHSRS inspections , risk assessments, and enforcement activity
- Manage HMO licensing , property licensing schemes, and compliance checks
- Authorise enforcement actions including improvement notices, civil penalties, prohibition notices and legal proceedings
- Provide expert advice on housing standards, legislation, and regulatory responsibilities
- Monitor service performance, caseloads, and reporting requirements
- Develop policies, procedures, and service improvements
- Build strong working relationships with landlords, tenants, external agencies, and internal teams
- Ensure the team delivers a high‑quality, customer‑focused service
