Your Role as Child in Need Reviewing Officer:
- Lead and chair Child in Need reviews, keeping the child’s voice and lived experience central
- Provide robust independent challenge, tackling drift, delay, and risk head-on
- Escalate effectively into Child Protection or legal frameworks when required
- Work across multi-agency partnerships to deliver joined-up outcomes
- Drive quality assurance and service improvement through audits and best practice
Your previous experience as Child in Need Reviewing Officer:
- Strong background in safeguarding and Child in Need frameworks
- Confident in independent oversight and professional challenge
- Proven ability to influence and improve practice standards
- Experience working within a Local Authority setting
- Social Work qualification and clear understanding of statutory responsibilities
