You’ll be working at the heart of safeguarding, operating with real autonomy to challenge practice, influence decision-making, and ensure children’s voices are always heard. This is your chance to take ownership, lead from the front, and drive meaningful change from day one.

As a Child in Need Reviewing Officer, you will be a critical figure in holding standards high, identifying risk early, and ensuring no child’s plan drifts or delays. This is a role where your expertise will be valued, your challenge welcomed, and your impact visible.

Your Role as Child in Need Reviewing Officer:
• Lead and chair Child in Need reviews, keeping the child’s voice and lived experience central
• Provide robust independent challenge, tackling drift, delay, and risk head-on
• Escalate effectively into Child Protection or legal frameworks when required
• Work across multi-agency partnerships to deliver joined-up outcomes
• Drive quality assurance and service improvement through audits and best practice

Your previous experience as Child in Need Reviewing Officer:
• Strong background in safeguarding and Child in Need frameworks
• Confident in independent oversight and professional challenge
• Proven ability to influence and improve practice standards
• Experience working within a Local Authority setting
• Social Work qualification and clear understanding of statutory responsibilities

Opportunities like this don’t stay on the market for long. If you’re an experienced Child in Need Reviewing Officer ready to step into a role where you can genuinely make a difference, now is the time to act.
