SEN Teacher Responsibilities
· Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons tailored to pupils with SEND.
· Support the academic, social, and emotional development of pupils in line with individual learning plans.
· Work closely with class teachers, teaching assistants, and external professionals to ensure a consistent and personalised approach.
· Monitor and assess pupil progress, adjusting teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
· Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all pupils feel supported and empowered.
· Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and colleagues regarding pupil progress and needs.
· Participate in school meetings, professional development, and wider school activities.
SEN Teacher Requirements
· Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
· Proven experience teaching pupils with SEND in a primary school setting.
· Strong knowledge of differentiated teaching strategies and personalised learning approaches.
· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
· Ability to work collaboratively and proactively as part of a team.
· Commitment to ongoing professional development and inclusive teaching practices.
