New Projects and Bid Coordinator
Operating within the New Projects and Communications team, the New Projects and Bids Coordinator manages potential new business enquiries for David Chipperfield Architects' London studio and is responsible for producing high quality, strategic written and visual content for bids, submissions and presentations.
The New Projects and Bids Coordinator reports to the Communications Director and the wider Leadership group.ResponsibilitiesNew ProjectsUndertake research and review of potential projects
Summarise and record project information in an up-to-date and accurately archived Potential Project List using a digital database
Review project information to identify key elements for assessment, opportunities, issues and challenges.
Undertake preliminary due diligence on potential clients, as required.
Be the main point of contact for potential clients, ensuring that all viable enquiries are followed up and clear responses are provided to potential clients in good time.
Prepare briefings for Directors to speak with clients/consultants
Report to the Leadership group on a weekly basis on potential project developments (present an initial summary of project suitability, interest and viability.
Discuss pressing decisions and concerns with Communications Director and Managing Director, as needed.
Prepare portfolios, as required, in preparation for New Projects meetings with potential clients.
Regularly communicate with and share enquiries received by the London studio with the Berlin, Milan, Shanghai and Santiago de Compostela offices, collaborating and aligning activities where relevant.
Issue a monthly New Projects list to David Chipperfield and the relevant colleagues of the Berlin, Milan, Shanghai and Santiago de Compostela studios each month.
Develop analytics for the practice and continue to review processes and lessons learnt. Seeking ways to continually improve processes through ongoing review.
BidsDefine a structure, approach and strategy for each submission response based on the established requirements, working across
Leadership and relevant internal teams in collaboration with Directors
Compile relevant practice and project information, images and text into high-quality submissions.
Writing and editing bespoke, strategic texts for bids and submissions.
Final copy editing and proofreading of all outgoing Bid written content.
Draft, confirm and manage the submission timeline and workflows with the internal and external submission teams.
Research, discuss and support in the selection of any relevant external consultants and/or adviser.
Skills and Experience
Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a New Projects and Bids Coordinator or similar role
Highly organised and methodical
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt to different audiences
Experience in creating compelling graphical content
High level of competency in using Microsoft 365 Office Suite and CS InDesign software
