Teacher of Art (maternity cover)

We are seeking a full-time, temporary Teacher of Art to cover maternity leave within the department.

The ideal candidate will be able to commence the role after the October half term break on Monday 3rd November and continue in post until the end of the 25-26 Academic Year.

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and well qualified, with a real love for Art and for learning and an ability to convey this to and motivate pupils and staff alike.

Having a natural empathy and pastoral instinct is vital, as is being able to work as part of a strong team.

For this particular role we are looking for a committed and dynamic person who will:

• contribute to the high-quality teaching and assessment of Art across ability ranges.
• have the ability to teach a wide variety of techniques using a range of materials including; Painting and Drawing, Sculpture and installation, Mixed Media, Printmaking, Photography (digital and analogue) and Film.

Additionally, having the ability and desire to teach some aspects of Art History would be positive.
