Digital Account Manager
Who we are
We’re The Kite Factory, an independent media agency that fuses Heart, Art, and Science to craft creative media ideas that deliver . We’re here because we spotted a gap: too many agencies focus either on bold ideas or on measurement, but rarely both. We believe the magic happens when you bring them together. Smart, strategic, and creative media that doesn’t just look good on paper but delivers in the real world.
Our roots are in measurement, but our craft is in turning insight into action. That’s how we drive real results for ambitious commercial and third sector organisations like Celsius, Skin+Me, WaterAid, David Lloyd Clubs, Triodos Bank, and Breast Cancer Now.
We’re now over 100 specialists strong - strategists, planners, creatives, and data geeks, united by curiosity, craft, and a passion for growth - yours, ours, and our clients’. In the past five years, we’ve grown fast, winning major clients and industry accolades including Campaign’s Independent Agency of the Year 2024and Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2024 and 2025 .
People love working here, and it shows. We’re proud to hold IPA Platinum status and be consistently named a Campaign Best Place to Work.
We place a strong focus on training and development at The Kite Factory, as such we ensure all our team have a personalised development plan with clear objectives, which are reviewed and refreshed every 6 months. We provide ongoing on the job training, knowledge share sessions, department hops, external training (IAB, IPA, NABs) and partner training. We are IPA CPD platinum accredited – only 1% of UK agencies have this.
What we are looking for
We’re looking for candidates that want to push the boundaries with clients whilst still being able to deliver excellent results. You should have solid experience in both planning and buying across multiple online channels, and you should also be able to strike the balance between analytical and creative thinking to aid long-term growth strategies for your clients.
Collaboration between teams and with clients is also key to success here. You should have client-management experience and be confident owning all day-to-day relationships with key stakeholders with proven long-term success, and you should be able to effectively communicate with internal teams to maintain a high standard work at all times; whilst delivering multiple projects.
We expect individuals within this role to take initiative and drive things forward for both their team and clients, reporting upwards with efficiency to Account Directors.
Your role
This is a varied, cross-channel role working across Paid Search, Paid Social and all Programmatic channels (Display, Video, CTV, Audio etc.). We require the candidate to have solid experience predominantly in Paid Search and Paid Social, and ongoing support will be provided by your Account Director for any other channels you do not have extensive experience in.
This role is very hands on with campaigns, from being the strategical planning lead to overseeing and managing campaign builds, effective performance optimisation and overall account development. This will be across all online channels and you will be expected to operate your team fairly independently. You will work closely with a Client Services team who will plan and buy the offline media, so you will need to ensure that you are approaching client briefs with integrated planning in mind.
You will be line managing a Digital Account Executive within your team, who will support you in delivering the above. You will be responsible for their training and development, output and quality of work, and oversee the areas they take full ownership of, including key deliverables such as reporting and monthly finance.
This role is client-facing, meaning you will need to work on building and maintaining rapport with all clients, including confidence and trust, which will be assessed through ongoing internal and external feedback.
Lastly and importantly, you should be passionate about and excited to work with not-for-profit organisations, as this role will specifically be to work across a selection of our charity clients.
The main responsibilities of the role are:
Lead planning and execution across all digital channels, managing campaigns from strategical planning to optimisation and in-depth post-analysis with complete independence (managing upwards to your Director for support).
Manage multiple projects and priorities, delegating effectively, maintaining team workload balance and quality output.
Implement tagging/tracking across platforms and integrate reporting with clients owned systems where required.
Maintain team operational processes.
Coordinate with offline teams for holistic planning and integration across channels.
Manage weekly account forecasting and identify growth opportunities for your accounts.
Educate clients on evolving digital industry developments.
Maintain strong client relationships and act as a trusted point of contact, building rapport and confidence.
Line management of a Digital Account Executive.
Finally, there are also opportunities to become a department champion in an area of expertise that you would like to bring to the agency. This would include knowledge sharing sessions and organising lunch and learns with key partners.
We require someone who has the passion, drive and tenacity to make a difference.
