Live-out Private Chef
A fantastic position has become available for a skilled, adaptable, and hands-on Private Chef with a strong background in Eastern European cuisine to join a fully staffed household in Central London. The role involves cooking for a family of four, who are specifically looking for someone with genuine expertise in preparing authentic, high quality Eastern European dishes, while also being able to offer lighter, modern variations when appropriate.
The successful candidate will be calm, organised, and confident working in a busy private household environment. A collaborative attitude, strong communication skills, and a deep understanding of regional flavours, ingredients, and traditional cooking methods are essential.
Reporting to the Head Chef, you will prepare daily lunches and dinners for the family, designing seasonal menus that reflect their tastes and dietary preferences. You will also support the wider kitchen team when required, assisting with meal preparation for the household staff. This role suits a Chef who thrives in a respectful, well structured environment and enjoys being part of a professional household team.
The schedule is five days per week, with two days off on a rota basis. Flexibility to cover weekends and occasional early shifts is required.
Prior experience working in a UHNW household, particularly with families and children, is essential.
The position is available for an immediate start.
Key Responsibilites
• Preparing daily lunch and dinner for the family to an exceptional standard, with a strong emphasis on Eastern European cuisine
• Designing traditional and contemporary menus tailored to the family’s preferences
• Working collaboratively within a team of chefs and taking direction when needed
• Planning menus based on seasonal availability and dietary requirements
• Sourcing and ordering high quality, authentic ingredients • Maintaining a clean, organised, and hygienic kitchen environment
• Communicating effectively with the House Manager and wider household team
• Ensuring efficient time management and smooth kitchen operations
Essential Criteria
• Previous experience as a Private Chef in a high end or UHNW household
• Strong professional background in Eastern European cuisine
• Confident preparing both classic regional dishes and refined modern versions
• Calm, adaptable, and hands on approach
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Positive team player with a professional attitude
• Full understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
• Based in London with the legal right to work in the UK
• Demonstrated longevity in previous roles
• Available to start immediately with excellent, verifiable references
Location: Central London
Contract: Permanent
Working Week: 5 Days on, 2 days off on a Rota basis. Flexibility required
Salary: £70,000 – £80,000 per annum dependant on demonstratable experience.
