We're currently working with a welcoming nursery school in Southwark that is looking to appoint a Premises Officer from September on an ongoing temporary basis.

Working as part of a supportive team, you'll help ensure the school remains safe, secure, and ready to welcome children each morning, playing an important role in creating the positive environment that the school is known for.

The Role

As Premises Officer, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep of the school site during the morning, ensuring everything is ready for a busy school day.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Opening the school each morning

• Carrying out minor repairs and general maintenance

• Completing routine health and safety inspections

• Monitoring the security and presentation of the site

• Reporting maintenance issues where required

• Supporting the smooth operation of the school premises

The successful candidate will be reliable, organised, and happy working independently. Previous experience working within a school environment is essential , ideally in a caretaker, premises, or facilities role.

Contract & Hours

Location: Southwark

Contract: Ongoing temporary

Start Date: September 2026

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 11:30am (20 hours per week)
