Pay : 95 - 115 per day
Veritas Education is excited to partner with a welcoming, inclusive primary school in Southwark to recruit a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to join their team after the Easter break.
This OFSTED-rated 'Good' school is well-known for its supportive environment, prioritising pupils' academic achievements, emotional wellbeing, and personal growth. As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside the class teacher and SENCO, providing both 1:1 and small-group support to help students access the curriculum, build their confidence, and develop positive relationships.
This role is perfect for a patient, proactive, and empathetic individual who is passionate about helping children - including those with additional needs - thrive in a nurturing primary school setting.
The Ideal Primary Teaching Assistant Will Have :
Proven experience supporting children in a primary school environment
Knowledge of strategies to support learning, communication, and behaviour
A calm, caring, and resilient approach, especially when working with pupils with additional needs
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
Main Responsibilities Include :
Delivering personalised 1:1 and small-group interventions
Assisting the class teacher with differentiated classroom activities
Promoting pupils' social, emotional, and behavioural development
Using creative strategies to engage and support learning
Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to the class teacher and SENCO
Helping to maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
