DT Teacher (Electronics Focus) – Drive Innovative Electronics and Programming in a Dynamic Inner-City School – Hackney
A progressive secondary school in Hackney with a focus on innovative design and engineering is seeking a Design & Technology Teacher with a specialism in Electronics/Resistant Materials from January 2026.
- DT Teacher (Electronics Specialist) required from January 2026

You will teach Design & Technology across KS3–KS5(GCSE/A-Level), focusing on the Electronics and Systems Control elements of the curriculum. The role emphasizes innovative use of programming (e.g., Arduino/Micro:bit) alongside traditional making, guiding students through practical NEA projects in well-resourced workshops.
Experience and Qualifications
- QTS and a degree in Design Technology, Engineering, or Electronics .
- Proven experience teaching GCSE Design & Technology (Electronics/RM specialism).
- Proficiency in modern design software and CAD/CAM or microcontroller programming.
- Commitment to fostering a structured and innovative learning environment.
