Your Role at Lunchtime
As a Midday Meal Supervisor, your role is to ensure children are safe, calm, and well supported while they eat and play.
Your responsibilities may include:
Supervising pupils during lunch service
Encouraging polite behaviour and table manners
Assisting younger children with meals and trays
Monitoring pupils with food allergies or medical needs
Managing transitions between dining hall and playground
Supervising playground activities and free play
Promoting inclusive games and positive interaction
Supporting children who are upset or anxious
Managing low-level behavioural issues calmly
Reporting any concerns to senior staff
Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed
You will act as both a supervisor and a role model.
