Schemes Engineer

Our client, a prominent entity in the highways sector, is currently looking for a dedicated Site Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This role presents a unique opportunity to contribute to exciting and essential highway projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Developing and managing highway schemes from inception to completion
Coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met
Conducting site inspections and assessments to inform scheme designs
Preparing detailed reports and technical specifications
Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
Managing project budgets and timelines effectively
Overseeing the work of contractors and consultants
Providing technical expertise and guidance throughout project lifecycle

Job Requirements:

Experience in highway engineering or a closely related discipline
Strong knowledge of highway design principles and relevant software
Ability to interpret and utilise highway standards and regulations
Proficiency in managing and delivering multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
A relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification
