Assistant Marketing Manager - Mitre

Pentland Brands
London

We’re Pentland Brands: a global family business behind some of the world’s most iconic active and lifestyle brands. We bring integrity, energy and ambition to our work, setting high standards and striving to deliver great outcomes without ego.

Make your mark with a brand at the heart of the real game

For generations, Mitre has been woven into the fabric of football culture; trusted by players and fans at every level. From iconic moments in the professional game, to real moments on grassroots pitches all over the world, the brand has been driven by design, innovation and storytelling. Mitre is a brand built for real football people, with one purpose above all: to champion the real game.

We are looking for a football obsessed marketeer, to come and join the Mitre team, as our Assistant Marketing Manager. In footballing terms, this is the no.8 role. You will be involved in all elements of managing a much-loved global brand: be it bringing the brand to life across our social channels and creating culturally relevant football content, engaging with the Mitre community both via our socials and IRL, or supporting the delivery of the fundamental tools and assets every brand needs, you will be at the heart of everything we do.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Support the Senior Marketing Manager and wider Brand team in delivering the annual marketing plan and bringing impactful campaigns to life.

  • Own the day-to-day execution of Mitre's social media strategy, managing the content calendar and ensuring the brand shows up authentically across key football and cultural moments.

  • Build and engage the Mitre community across social channels, driving advocacy, conversation and meaningful brand engagement.

  • Monitor social performance, identify optimisation opportunities and share regular trend and insight reports that inspire future content and campaigns.

  • Support the creation and rollout of marketing toolkits, brand guidelines and digital assets, ensuring a consistent brand experience across every touchpoint.

  • Collaborate with the Content team and PR agency to coordinate creative briefs, product samples, media requests, campaign activations and events.

  • Develop compelling sales tools and marketing collateral that help our commercial teams engage wholesale partners.

  • Own the organisation and management of Mitre's digital asset library, ensuring assets are accessible, current and easy to use.

  • Provide day-to-day marketing support through purchase orders, presentations and other ad-hoc activities that keep the team running smoothly.

What you’ll bring:

  • Naturally curious, always asking questions and eager to learn.

  • Lives and breathes football, from the game itself to the culture that surrounds it.

  • Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise and stay on top of multiple moving parts.

  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment, bringing energy, focus and attention to detail.

Why Mitre?

Mitre is a football brand built around the real game, the players, teams, coaches, clubs and communities who make football what it is.

With a heritage dating back to 1817, Mitre has been part of football for generations, creating products known for quality, durability and performance at every level of the sport. From first kicks to Sunday League, training sessions, cup competitions and the road to Wembley, Mitre is there for real football people.

Joining Mitre means becoming part of a team that cares deeply about the game and the products that support it: how they perform, how they last, how they feel in play, and how they help bring people together through football.
