The Role
As Year 5 Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons that challenge and inspire pupils. The Year 5 Teacher will lead assessment and feedback processes, run interventions where necessary, and communicate progress clearly to parents. You will work closely with the senior leadership team and subject leads to enhance curriculum sequencing — a key responsibility of the Year 5 Teacher. The appointed Year 5 Teacher will be expected to take up post in January 2026 and to contribute to termly planning from January 2026. The post is based in Southwark and will involve active engagement with the local community in Southwark.

Person specification for the Year 5 Teacher
• QTS/PGCE and proven track record working successfully as a Year 5 Teacher.
• Strong subject knowledge and ability to teach across the Year 5 curriculum as the Year 5 Teacher.
• Excellent assessment, differentiation and behaviour management skills for the Year 5 Teacher.
