Real Estate Paralegal
Our client is a West London based law firm looking to appoint an experienced, confident, proactive Real Estate Paralegal providing legal and practical advice and assistance on a wide range of commercial property matters.
Salary: £30,000 to £39,000
The Role
- Providing administrative and legal assistance and support to the Senior Partner in managing their caseload of transactions;
- Key duties include preparing and managing legal documents, conducting legal research, preparing reports, organising files, and maintaining compliance with legal regulations;
- To provide an excellent standard of “Client Care” and quality of service at all times;
- To proactively deliver accurate and up-to-date legal advice to clients that takes account of their commercial pressures;
- Perform work accurately, reliably and in accordance with the company’s quality and risk procedures;
- To work as a team member; and keep up to date on all changes in the law and practice within the areas of work.
The Person
- At least 2 years’ experience as a paralegal within an established Commercial Real Estate team;
- Experience of commercial sales and purchases, commercial leases, option agreements and commercial refinances;
- Good computer literacy, including knowledge of case management systems;
- Clear understanding of Money Laundering Regulations, Solicitors Account Rules and other regulatory obligations;
- Previous experience working in a Lexcel and CQS accredited firm desirable but not essential;
- Strong planning and organisational skills and an ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills;
- Ability to create and nurture relationships with key clients at all levels;
- Desire to provide a high quality service;
- High level of integrity;
- Commercial approach to the delivery of legal services;
- Client focused; and Hardworking, proactive and positive attitude.
