THE ROLE
We have an exciting opportunity for a proactive Warehouse Supervisor to join our Air Freight team, working at one of our busiest locations in. In this role you will ensure high standards of health and safety, operational excellence, and customer service while driving continuous improvement across the warehouse.
This is a 4 on 4 off role - 06:00-18:00.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
- Take day-to-day operational responsibility for the warehouse, ensuring all activities run safely, efficiently, and to highest standards
- Lead and motivate a team of warehouse colleagues, supporting with queries, issues, and performance matters
- Maintain the highest standards of Health, Safety, Compliance, and Environmental practices across the warehouse
- Drive efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives to exceed performance targets and customer expectations
- Support the Warehouse Manager with the development and growth of the warehouse operation
- Use the in-transit warehouse system to create documentation, manage scanning activity, and receive and dispatch freight
- Monitor performance against KPIs, ensuring consistent operational delivery to defined processes and standards
- Identify opportunities to improve competitiveness, operational viability, and commercial attractiveness of the warehouse operation
Due to site and customer requirements, candidates must have been resident in the UK for the past five years.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Our ideal candidate will have proven experience within warehouse operations, ideally within the air freight or logistics. You will be a strong leader who can motivate and develop a team, with excellent communication skills and ability to deliver under pressure. You will have a good working knowledge of warehouse systems, scanners, and documentation processes and a strong understanding of health and safety and compliance requirements. Forklift training would be advantageous.
