Working as an Early Years Practitioner is very rewarding - you are making a difference to children's lives and early development, and you will see how they grow whilst in your care and preparing them for the next stage of their education. This is a lovely nursery that prides itself on tailored care for each child rather than offering a generic curriculum.

As an Early Years Practitioner, your responsibilities will include:
  • Planning and delivering exciting and stimulating activities
  • Carrying out observations and assessing progress
  • Supporting key children's development
  • Building positive relationships with children and their parents/carers
  • Assisting children with development of early reading and early maths skills
  • Working collaboratively with your colleagues in the running of activities and organisation of the room
  • Encouraging development through interactive play and age-appropriate learning experiences
  • Helping children to start developing positive relationships and social skills from a young age
For this position it is essential that you hold at least a Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare and have previous experience working in a nursery or childcare setting with children under 5.

This is a permanent Early Years Practitioner position to work full time, 42 hours per week, with a competitive salary ranging from £27k-£30k per annum.
