Risk Engineer

Key ResponsibilitiesLead structured risk identification workshops with engineering and project teams.
Assess technical, safety, commercial, schedule and regulatory risks.
Develop and maintain qualitative and quantitative risk assessments.
Perform cost and schedule modelling using industry recognised tools.
Produce probabilistic forecasts and scenario analysis.
Validate assumptions and uncertainty with subject matter experts.
Develop and track mitigation strategies and action plans.
Maintain accurate and compliant project risk registers.
Prepare reports, dashboards and insights for senior stakeholders.
Coach teams and embed a proactive risk culture.
Qualifications & Requirements
Degree or equivalent in a relevant technical discipline.
Experience in nuclear, defence, energy or high hazard sectors.
Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks.
Expertise in quantitative risk analysis and modelling.
Understanding of safety case and ALARP principles.
Excellent analytical and communication skills.
Experience on major infrastructure or EPC programmes.
Knowledge of project controls, cost and scheduling.
Stakeholder engagement and collaboration capability.
