Programmatic Sales Manager

Acast
London

About Acast
Since 2014, Acast has been building the world’s most valuable podcast marketplace, creating the technology that connects podcast creators, advertisers, and listeners. Its marketplace spans more than 140,000 podcasts, 3,300 advertisers, and one billion quarterly listens. Crucially, those listens are monetized wherever they happen—across any podcast app or listening platform.

About the role

We are seeking an ambitious and commercially driven Sales Manager to join our UK Commercial team, focused on accelerating growth in programmatic audio and podcast advertising.

This is a high-impact growth role and the second hire into the programmatic sales function, working directly alongside the Programmatic Sales Director. Programmatic audio is a key growth area for the business, and this role will play a critical part in shaping how we scale — requiring a hands-on, proactive approach and a willingness to build as we go.

You will work across the entire UK agency market, spanning all holding companies and independent agencies. As a small, high-impact team facing the full market, visibility is critical — success in this role depends on being present, proactive, and creative in how relationships are built and maintained.

What you´ll do

Commercial Strategy & Revenue Growth

  • Drive UK programmatic sales by identifying high-growth opportunities and executing proactive, yield-focused strategies.

  • Lead the market launch of emerging products, including Talent Voiced Ads (TVAs) and YouTube-integrated solutions.

  • Manage the full sales cycle: from pipeline forecasting and responding to complex RFPs to high-level commercial reporting.

Agency & Market Influence

  • Build deep relationships across agency planning, trading, and programmatic teams to secure long-term investment.

  • Act as a market advocate for Acast, delivering high-impact presentations and educating partners on programmatic audio/video.

  • Maintain a visible market presence through active outreach, agency hot-desking, and creative engagement.

Operational Excellence & Execution

  • Partner with AdTech Ops and Sales teams to ensure seamless campaign delivery, pacing, and post-sale optimization.

  • Use data-driven insights to identify upsell opportunities and improve campaign performance.

  • Collaborate internally to integrate programmatic solutions into broader client strategies and share market intelligence.

Strategic Impact

  • Prioritize effort based on revenue potential, maintaining a structured approach to agency and product growth.

  • Stay at the forefront of digital audio and programmatic trends to inform product development.

  • Contribute to a high-energy, collaborative culture focused on scaling Acast’s programmatic footprint.

Who you are

  • A commercially minded programmatic seller with a strong sales track record.

  • Proactive, visible, and comfortable being out in the market building momentum.

  • Highly organised and detail-oriented, able to manage complexity and competing priorities.

  • Confident building relationships across different roles and levels within agencies.

  • Passionate about audio, podcasts, and emerging formats, with a desire to build deep expertise.

  • Collaborative, reliable, and positive, with a builder’s mindset.

Experience & Skills

  • 3+ years’ experience in programmatic sales or programmatic-focused roles.

  • Strong understanding of the UK agency landscape and programmatic buying models.

  • Experience working closely with Ad Operations or campaign management teams.

  • Ability to translate insight into commercial opportunity.

  • Excellent communication, planning, and stakeholder management skills.

Culture

Acast is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, national origin or any of the other wonderful characteristics that make us different.

Culture is our number one priority as a business. We believe people come first, and we work every day to enable autonomy, continuous improvement and bring out the best in people. We’re global and have remote teams, so it’s even more important that we strive for an open, inclusive and caring environment where everyone feels visible and welcome.

We consider ourselves a modern organization driven by strong values to create the best, most fulfilling and nurturing culture.

We very much look forward to finding the next great person to join our cause!
