About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and confident School Business Manager to lead the school’s financial, operational, and administrative functions . This senior role offers the chance to work closely with the Headteacher and Governors to ensure the school operates efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage finance, budgeting, and resource allocation with precision and foresight
- Oversee HR, premises, and health & safety compliance , ensuring smooth daily operations
- Lead procurement, contracts, and administrative systems to maximise efficiency
- Support the Headteacher in strategic planning and operational decision-making
- Drive the effective use of school resources , ensuring value for money
Experience and Qualifications
- Significant experience as a School Business Manager or senior school administration/finance professional
- Strong financial, organisational, and operational management skills
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- Confident using school management systems and finance software (e.g., FMS, SIMS)
- The legal right to work in the UK
