Senior Occupational H&S Leadership Role – UK Rail Sector
We're looking for an experienced Occupational Health & Safety leader to take a key role in shaping and managing our Engineering Safety Management System within one of the UK's busiest rail operators.
Perfect for IOSH members or H&S professionals from high-risk sectors (rail, transport, utilities, manufacturing, aviation, energy).
The Role
Lead all Engineering OH&S, operational safety and SMS development
Oversee audits (ISO 45001 / 9001 / 14001 / 50001)
Manage safety investigations and performance reporting
Drive continuous improvement and behavioural safety culture
Lead and develop a team of 10 Safety Specialists
Influence senior engineering leadership on safety strategy
What You'll Bring
NEBOSH Diploma (essential)
Environmental, Risk Assessment & Internal Auditor quals
Chartered IOSH (or working toward) preferred
10+ years H&S experience in high-risk environments
Strong stakeholder influence & leadership skills
