The shift pattern for Nights: Mon - Thurs 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM, Friday 8:00 PM- 3:00 AM

Job Overview

 

At Britvic, we are seeking a dynamic and committed Team Technician to join our operations function. In this role, you will play a crucial part in manufacturing and packaging our renowned products, ensuring efficient operations of plant, equipment, and systems across primary and secondary areas. You will collaborate closely with Engineering Support Team Leaders, Team Leaders, and Shift Leaders, communicating progress and sharing valuable insights that impact plant performance and on-site activities.

 

Role Responsibilities

 

  • Operate and maintain associated equipment in primary and secondary areas, adhering to quality and efficiency standards
  • Thoroughly understand and implement quality control procedures outlined in the site quality systems
  • Undertake and propose improvements to asset care routines, ensuring their completion and effectiveness
  • Actively participate in problem-solving processes, enabling first-line fault finding and diagnostics
  • Work closely with the Team Leader and Engineering Support Team Leader to identify and incorporate skill development and machine modifications into site plans
  • Engage in improvement activities utilizing the TPM framework, establishing and capturing learning, best practices, document control, process control, plant re-design/modifications, and engineering out recurring problems
  • Take reasonable and practical care of personal health and safety, and that of others, by implementing legal or company directives regarding health and safety at work

 

Experience and Key Attributes

 

  • Practical experience working within a high-speed/FMCG manufacturing operation is essential
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, health, safety, and environmental legislation is required
  • Basic computer skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Takes pride in their approach to work and has a clear, consistent focus on improving ways of working
  • Supports a culture of continuous improvement and motivates others through effective teamwork
  • Takes personal responsibility to ensure results are delivered

 

Education

 

Minimum of 2 GCSEs (A-C) or demonstrable ability to interpret technical information is essential.

 

Certifications

 

  • HACCP/ISO/COSHH knowledge is desirable
