Year 6 Teacher - Southwark - Independent School
A reputable Independent School in Southwark is looking for an experienced Year 6 Teacher to start January 2026. The Year 6 Teacher will play a pivotal role in preparing pupils for transition and high-stakes assessments, while contributing to a supportive Independent School culture. The appointed Year 6 Teacher will attend induction in January 2026, participate in planning before January 2026, and teach from January 2026 as the Year 6 Teacher.
Year 6 Teacher Responsibilities
The Year 6 Teacher will deliver tailored revision and mastery lessons as the Year 6 Teacher, design high-impact lessons to close attainment gaps as the Year 6 Teacher, and lead transition programmes as the Year 6 Teacher. The Year 6 Teacher will mentor pupils, liaise with secondary partners and present progress data to stakeholders. The Year 6 Teacher will prepare materials prior to January 2026 and will be teaching from January 2026.
Year 6 Teacher Requirements
We require a Year 6 Teacher with QTS/PGCE or equivalent, proven leadership of Year 6 cohorts and excellent assessment practice. The Year 6 Teacher must be available for pre-term planning prior to January 2026, for induction in January 2026, and for starting in post from January 2026.
