KS2 Teacher - Upminster
We are seeking a committed and adaptable Key Stage 2 Teacher to join a supportive and well-regarded primary school in Upminster, starting as soon as possible. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about Key Stage 2 education and committed to helping pupils achieve both academically and personally.

The Role
As a KS2 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons that meet the needs of pupils across Key Stage 2. The year group will be matched to your experience where possible. You will plan and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum, using assessment to track progress and support pupils who may need additional challenge or intervention.
You will work closely with teaching assistants and phase colleagues to ensure a cohesive approach to teaching and learning. Building strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues will be essential to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons across the KS2 curriculum
Use assessment data to monitor progress and inform planning
Differentiate learning to support all pupils, including SEND and EAL learners
Maintain a structured, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
Promote independence, resilience, and positive behaviour
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and KS2 colleagues
Communicate effectively with parents and carers
Participate in staff meetings, CPD, and school improvement initiatives
Who We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have experience teaching in Key Stage 2
Be confident delivering the KS2 curriculum
Have strong classroom management and organisational skills
Be reflective, proactive, and adaptable
Demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding and inclusion
Work well as part of a supportive team
