Overview:
Our client, a highly respected and independently owned Lloyd’s broker backed by significant investment and ambitious growth plans, is seeking an experienced UK Solicitor’s Claims Handler to join their expanding team. This is a market-facing, technically skilled position suited to a confident professional who can represent the business across the Lloyd’s and London Market.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and handle UK Solicitors’ Professional Indemnity (PI) claims from first notification through to resolution.
Liaise with underwriters, brokers, clients, and external stakeholders to ensure timely and effective claims handling.
Provide clear, commercially minded advice and guidance on complex claims matters.
Conduct policy coverage analysis and prepare accurate claims reports, summaries, and recommendations.
Maintain strong market relationships and represent the firm within the Lloyd’s & London Market.
Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to support underwriting and risk management strategies.
Ensure claims processes are compliant with regulatory and internal standards.
Skills & Experience:
Proven experience handling UK Solicitors’ PI or similar professional indemnity claims (Lloyd’s/London Market experience strongly preferred).
Strong technical knowledge of professional indemnity policies, legal frameworks, and the claims lifecycle.
Confident communicator with the ability to engage directly with clients and market participants.
Highly analytical, organised, and detail-focused.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced, growth-driven environment.
Professional, credible, and comfortable operating in a market-facing role.
