About the Role
A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Lambeth is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) team from 6th October. The successful candidate will support children in Reception, helping them to build confidence, develop key skills, and thrive in their first years of education.
As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging activities, encourage social interaction, and ensure each child receives the support they need to make progress.
Key Responsibilities
Support children in Reception with learning and play-based activities.
Provide individual and small group support where required.
Help create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment.
Encourage positive behaviour, independence, and personal development.
Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and staff to meet children's needs.
Candidate Requirements
Previous experience as an Early Years Teaching Assistant or similar role.
Knowledge of EYFS framework and child development.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A patient, caring, and proactive approach.
