Principal Engineer - Support Engineering (In-Service Design Change)
- Producing and reviewing technical guidance documentation for In-Service Submarine Alterations and Additions, Class Modifications, and Minor Trials, ensuring adherence to all aspects of the MOD design change process KP 2.31
- Carry out investigation and review of technical design change information/proposals
- Carry out design change Safety & Environmental Assessment documentation review for both In-Service and Build community Submarines
- Provide input to training courses to support learning from experience, drive continuous improvement and promote a positive safety and quality culture
- Conduct trend analysis of incidents, events and present the findings from completed investigations to identify themes and trends
- Acting as customer liaison, you will attend monthly meetings with Senior Stakeholders and provide project updates
Your skills and experiences: Essential:
- A background in Mechanical/Electrical engineering
- Previous experience with Project Management controls
- A minimum of HNC qualification
- Experienced in CAD - Preferably SolidWorks

During your projects, you will also be able to visit In-Service Submarines in support of design change tasks and to develop your own skill set and experience.
