Purpose of the Role
The Financial Accountant will be a key member of the Financial Control team – participating fully in all areas of financial control and compliance with a particular focus on financial reporting, technical accounting,
Person Specification
- Qualified accountant ACA/ACCA.
- Strong grounding in technical accounting and control.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A proactive problem solver who thrives on improving processes and resolving issues.
- Consistent attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordination of fixed asset accounting and reconciliation
- IFRS16 lease accounting
- Preparation and change control of statutory accounts
- Drive high-quality, timely balance sheet reconciliations and resolve issues proactively
- Support external and internal audit processes
- Provide expert guidance on accounting standards, company law, and HMRC regulations, and share relevant updates across the business.
- Collaborate with other finance teams and the wider business to mitigate risk
- Support in the preparation of tax computations
- Other ad hoc responsibilities as defined by the UK Financial Controller
- As you will expect the organisation may change from time to time and you will be expected to meet the operational requirements.
- Any other reasonable duties as required from time to time.
