Apprentice Mobile Plant Fitter - Erith, Greater London

FM Conway is currently recruiting for an Apprentice Mobile Plant Fitter to join our Aggregates and Asphalt division. You will work in a supported learning environment, learning the practical skills and knowledge in the maintenance and engineering of plant machinery. This will include preventative maintenance, attending breakdowns, and executing mechanical repairs, fabrication and welding. This full-time permanent role will be based at our Erith depot, working across London and the surrounding areas.

The duties of the Apprentice Mobile Plant Fitter will include:

- Following instructions, and understanding how equipment and systems operate

- Participating in safety checks and learn to identify potential hazards

- Assisting the experienced engineers and fitters with maintenance and repair tasks

-Complying with company health, safety, and environmental policy, highlighting any issues appropriately

- Help with installing, checking, and fixing machinery.

What skills and experience do you need?

We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic team player who can use their initiative and has a general interest in how machinery and processes work. A full UK driving license is required for this role.
