Director of Year 8 and 9

The Governors of St Ursula’s Convent School are seeking to appoint an experienced and highly motivated professional with responsibility as Director of Years 8 and 9 to start in January 2025.

At St Ursula’s Convent School, the Director of Years 8 and 9 is a key pastoral leadership position, responsible for personal development, behaviour, attendance, punctuality and wellbeing of all students in Years 8 and 9. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a deep commitment to the pastoral care and holistic development of young people.

Position: Director of Year 8 and 9

Contract Type: Permanent, following successful completion of a 6 month probation

Salary: MPS / UPS + £TLR2 £5,000pa

Skills and Qualifications:

- Minimum qualification of Qualified Teaching Status (QTS)

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

As the Director of Year 8 and 9, you will be responsible for the personal development, behaviour, attendance, punctuality and wellbeing of all students in Years 8 and 9. A key aspect of this role is preparation for Key Stage 4, including overseeing the options choices for Year 9. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a deep commitment to the pastoral care and holistic development of young people.
