Cortex IT Recruitment
Central London

Turn complex public sector data into actionable insight that improves outcomes for children, families and communities. This Senior Consultant role sits at the intersection of analytics, consulting and data engineering, where you will lead delivery and help organisations across education, local government and the not-for-profit sector make better evidence-based decisions.

You will join a mission-led UK consultancy specialising in data, analytics and technology for public sector and social impact organisations. The team partners with local authorities, education providers and charities to design and deliver data platforms, dashboards and analytical tools that support policy, service improvement and operational decision-making.

As a Senior Consultant, you will lead the design and delivery of data solutions across education and public sector clients. You will combine technical depth with consulting capability, supporting the full lifecycle from requirements gathering through to build, implementation and optimisation.

You will develop dashboards, build data models and automate data pipelines while ensuring outputs are accurate, scalable and aligned to client needs. You will also mentor junior consultants and contribute to improving technical standards across the team.

This role includes exposure to data platform development, reporting automation initiatives and analytical products used by multiple public sector organisations.

• Contribute to proposals and client development activities

Benefits and Perks

• Discretionary bonus
• 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
• Private healthcare after probation
• Enhanced pension
• Career development and mentoring opportunities
• Exposure to high-impact public sector projects

• Experience with Power BI, Tableau or similar tools
• Strong understanding of data modelling and databases
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience in public sector, education, charity or not-for-profit

Nice-to-Have

• Automation tools such as Power Automate or VBA
• Exposure to Git, Docker or cloud platforms
• Experience mentoring junior analysts
