Product Owner - Maternity Cover FTC
Our Mission and who we are
‘To be the world’s most trusted currency partner’
At Lumon, we help individuals and businesses move money across borders - smoothly, securely, and cost-effectively. With operations in 150+ countries and support for over 40 currencies, we combine competitive, bank-beating exchange rates with a personal, human touch.
Whether it’s buying property abroad, managing international business costs, or sending money home, every customer gets access to a dedicated currency specialist - alongside our digital FX platform - for expert support tailored to their needs.
We’re regulated by the FCA and the Central Bank of Ireland, handling billions in transfers each year for over 70,000 private clients and 2,500+ businesses. Backed by Pollen Street Capital, we’re in an exciting phase of growth - scaling across Europe and expanding our tech and services.
The Product team
The Product team shapes the experiences that power Lumon. We turn complex problems into simple, scalable solutions - working closely with sales & dealing, operations and the engineering team to build features our customers love.
Role purpose:
This is an opportunity to take full ownership of high-impact initiatives across our global payments and FX ecosystem.
You won’t “own a product” in isolation - instead, you’ll be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of strategic initiatives . That could mean launching a new feature within an existing product, transforming a customer journey, or delivering a critical third-party integration.
From concept to release, you’ll lead the charge.
We’re building market-leading solutions for Personal and Business customers transferring money globally and managing FX risk intelligently. Your work will directly shape how customers experience and trust our platform.
What you’ll be doing day-to-day
· End-to-End Initiative Ownership
o Lead initiatives from discovery to and definition through to launch and optimisation
o Translate business outcomes into clear, actionable delivery plans
o Ensure each initiative delivers measurable value for customers and the business
· Customer & Market Insight
o Act as the voice of the customer across your initiatives
o Identify experience gaps and opportunities across onboarding, payments and FX journeys
o Research market trends, competitor, and emerging solutions
· Structured Delivery & Execution
o Develop and maintain a prioritised backlog aligned to business goals
o Write clear, outcome-focused user stories
o Work closely with Engineering to maintain momentum and quality
o Support testing to ensure releases are fit-for-purpose and customer-ready
· Stakeholder Alignment
o Engage business stakeholders to understand desired outcomes and success metrics
o Provide transparent updates on progress, risks and trade-offs
o Align cross-functional teams around a shared vision and delivery plan
· Innovation & Integration
o Lead the implementation of third-party integrations (e.g. payment gateways, KYC.KYB providers)
o Evaluate technical, commercial and customer implications
o Ensure seamless integration into existing journeys
What we are looking for:
You’re commercially aware, delivery-focused and confident operating across both business and technical conversations. If you enjoy turning strategy into shipped outcomes and leading initiatives that make a measurable difference this roles give you the opportunity to do exactly that.
Experience & Skills:
· 3+ years working in Product delivery or as a Business Analyst
· Proven experience delivery initiatives end-to-end
