I T P r o j e c t M a n a g e r - L o g i s t i c s & A u t o m a t i o n
The IT Project Manager (UK) will be responsible for the management, coordination and execution of all critical IT initiatives ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, quality and goals. As a key position, this role will drive the project to ensure successful implementation for clients across all IT and additional departments, through proper planning, functional design, budgeting, use of technology, resource allocations and guidance of department-level managers, customers, internal and on-site staff
This position is very much a hands-on project management role with frequent travelling both in the UK and Internationally. The candidate must therefore be prepared to stay away from home for regular periods of time.
Main tasks:
- Project manager, Super User for the systems & logistic modules
- Ongoing coordination and communication between multiple departments including but not limited to IT, Engineering, Operations, Technical, and Management
- Management of IT projects including the Scope, Design, Implementation of Business MIS systems (Reporting) and Monitoring, including deadlines, costs and quality
- Supporting Implementation of system adaptations and Change requests (Variation orders)
- Escalation management
- Initiation and management of Continuous Improvement initiatives with a view to improve system availability and efficiency
- Essential link between Parkstein (Germany), customer and local project or onsite team
- Customer support and supplier management
- Management of a team of IT project support developers/analysts
- Management and development of KPI's and quality assurance of reported data
Additional tasks:
- Allocation of responsibilities and tasks within the team
- Optimization of resources and processes with a focus on availability and efficiency
- Management and Development of employee skills and competencies
- Ensuring and guaranteeing a safe working environment with regard to technology, production and services; ensuring adherence to application of occupational safety regulations.
- Educational requirements and relevant work experience:
- Degree, preferably in Computer Science/IT or equivalent qualificationProven management experience in the areas of "Logistics/IT/Operations" or in a similar management function
- Experience with complex automation logistics systems
- Advanced critical thinking, coordinating, organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to develop and maintain strong Customer relationships
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and project activities simultaneously while meeting established deadlines
