London

The role: As a Senior Product Designer within the Mortgages team at Rightmove, you’ll lead design for products that help home buyers and movers explore affordability and progress through their mortgage journey with confidence. Being part of Mortgages team, your work will span from early discovery and hypothesis-driven experimentation to delivery and optimisation, shaping the future of Mortgages at Rightmove. Partnering with the multidisciplinary team (Product Manager, Engineers, Content Designers, and Compliance), and with guidance and support from the Lead product designer, you’ll craft product experiences that are user friendly, compliant, and accessible to drive consumer engagement. You’ll also collaborate with teams across Rightmove to ensure joined-up experiences across the consumer journeys and help drive funnel conversion. The Experience Design Team at Rightmove is a talented and collaborative group of 25+ designers and researchers, shaping the future of user experiences through Product Design, Content Design and User Research. We’re collectively responsible for establishing and maintaining ways of working, and as a team we set the UI standards and support the design system advocates, to ensure consistency of our design outputs across the different business verticals. We're looking for someone who: Can demonstrate commercial acumen and can leverage problem solving skills and design thinking in service of business objectives as well as user needs. Have knowledge of Mortgages, experience working in a regulated environment or property sector. This is a plus, not essential. Show a willingness to gain an in-depth understanding of the product, its end users, and key team stakeholders. Nurture and manage key relationships within the company beyond your immediate team and invested in the success of your team and pursue shared goals. Cultivate a mindset of continuous growth through actively seeking and giving constructive feedback, with the end goal of achieving good outcomes for the user and business. Are highly organised and comfortable with a certain degree of context-switching in your day-to-day. Are pragmatic and understand the iterative nature of your projects and can prioritise according to impact and constraints. Are a good communicator, able to bring stakeholders and peers on board / along with you for the journey and can demonstrate the impact of your work and decisions Proactively and autonomously seek opportunities for growth, improvement and innovation and set the pace and standards for outcomes and outputs. Understand the complexity of working on regulated B2C products and play a key role in shaping strategic discovery and planning, ensuring design decisions align with long-term product and business objectives. What you’ll bring to the role: You have proven experience as a high performing Senior Product Designer within an end-to-end role, owning projects for their entire lifecycle, from conception and ideation to delivery. Your portfolio projects showcase a combination of research, UX and UI skills, clear outcomes and impact on the user and business alike. Knowledge and experience with research methodologies and associated tooling (independently or in support of user researchers), journey mapping, problem-framing and solving, running workshops and collaborative sessions - highly desirable and necessary at least at a base level. Systems thinking and ability to implement established best practices and patterns to deliver outputs of high standards and accessible, inclusive experiences. You display maturity and autonomy in managing your time and focus - you can comfortably utilise your skills to craft the vision for your domain, even when navigating some ambiguity. About Rightmove: Our vision is to give everyone the belief they can make their move. We aim to make moving simpler, by giving everyone the best place to turn to and return to for access to the tools, expertise, trust and belief to make it happen.
