Practice Manager

Position Overview :
The Practice Manager will oversee the daily administrative and operational functions of the firm, ensuring smooth operations, compliance with regulations, and support for business development efforts. This role is crucial in maintaining the firm’s efficiency and contributing to its strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities of the Practice Manager role :
Office Management :
- Oversee daily operations, including administrative functions and office logistics
- Manage change and project initiatives
- Ensure a professional and efficient office environment
- Handle office supplies, equipment, and vendor relationships
- Lead staff development and training programmes
- Oversee billing, revenue control, and debt recovery
- Prepare and manage the firm’s budget in collaboration with the Directors
- Monitor financial performance and provide regular reports to management
- Develop and implement office policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including SRA standards
- Oversee case management systems and IT operations
- Manage documentation and liaise with external IT support
- Support marketing efforts, including managing social media accounts and website updates
- Assist with organising events, seminars, and networking activities
- Identify and pursue business development opportunities
- Contribute to strategic business planning
- Relevant experience in a legal environment
- Strong professionalism and commercial acumen
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Highly organised with a proactive and results-oriented approach
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and external organisations
- Willingness to develop skills, including negotiation
