We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established construction contractor delivering projects across commercial, industrial, residential, education, healthcare, and retail sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior Quantity Surveyor) to develop their commercial skillset within a supportive project team environment.

You will assist with cost control, procurement, valuations, and commercial administration from pre-construction through to final account.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing cost estimates, budgets, and Bills of Quantities
• Support tender preparation, analysis, and comparison of subcontractor and supplier returns
• Assist with procurement of subcontractors and materials
• Monitor project costs and track expenditure against budgets
• Support preparation of interim valuations and applications for payment
• Assist with valuation of variations and change control
• Help produce cost reports, forecasts, and cashflow updates
• Liaise with site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants
• Maintain accurate commercial records and documentation
• Support final accounts and project close-out activities
• Attend site meetings and site visits as required

Skills & Experience Required

• Up to 2 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying or commercial role within construction
• Degree or qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline (or working towards)
• Basic understanding of construction contracts (JCT / NEC desirable but not essential)
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Good attention to detail and organisational skills
• Willingness to learn and develop within a commercial environment
