Legal Counsel - Asset Finance and Commercial (London/Hybrid)

In-house legal role offering asset finance, leasing and general commercial work in the infrastructure space.

Client Details

The company is a well-established organisation within the transport sector and has over £4bn of infrastructure assets under management.

Description

In addition to your core duties relating to asset and corporate finance matters pertaining to the debt and security structure of the group, you will:

• Provide accurate, practical and timely legal advice to all business areas in connection with the procurement, maintenance, operation, refurbishment, insurance, sale and disposal of assets.
• Structure, draft and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements.
• Advise on a broad range of matters, spanning corporate, contract, regulatory compliance, public procurement, intellectual property rights (IPR), health and safety, competition law and disputes.
• Provide legal guidance on diversification, acquisition and growth opportunities for the business, some of which are cross-border.

Please note, some experience of equipment leasing or asset finance expertise is essential.

Profile

The successful candidate will be a lawyer, qualified in the UK or another common law jurisdiction. and:

• will be likely to have between 2 and 5 years of post qualification experience (this is due to the existing structure of the the Team as well as the pay and work on offer for this role).
• will have demonstrable experience of legal matters pertaining to asset finance or leasing.
• may have trained in-house or in private practice.
• will have the ability to attend the office in London 50% of the working week and will be able to work in the UK without sponsorship (which unfortunately is unavailable for this role).
