What does the role involve

The Assistant Project Manager role consists ofassistingin the delivery of project management activities on various size projects in the residential sector.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare documentssuch asproject briefs PEPs risk registers and Gateway/Governance papers
  • Set up QA systems project directories templates and instruction logs
  • Arrange meetings and workshops; prepare agendas and minutes
  • Produce dashboards monthly reports and meeting schedules
  • Support procurement strategy development tendering processes and value engineering reviews
  • Perform post-contract duties issue certificatesmanage change control andmaintaincompliance with building contracts
  • Conduct site visits health & safety inspections support snagging handover and defect management processes
  • Supportwithproject escalation processes and controls
  • Always take personal responsibility for the health and safety of self and others by working within theHealth and Safety policy and procedures
  • Endeavour to improve our social and environmental impact
  • Any other duties as reasonably required of the role

Requirements
  • Qualified in relevant construction related degree
  • Previousexperience within the construction industry and commercial awareness of the construction process
  • Achieved or actively working towards Chartership
  • Technical knowledge in allmain areasof Project Management
  • A clientfocused outlookwith an ambition to deliver projects meeting client objectives
  • Ability to deliver a small to medium size project with minor support from senior staff
  • Awareness of CDM and construction Health & Safety
  • Confident and proactive approach to work and self-development
  • Ability to effectively manage own time tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ability to competently support team members
  • Ability to buildprofessionalrelationships quickly and effectively
  • Attention to detail and highly organised
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
