Skills and Competencies
- Proven ability to drive revenue through cross‑sell and upsell opportunities within an existing client base, as well as through new client acquisition.
- Strong consultative selling capability, with the ability to sell using a needs‑based, solutions‑oriented approach.
- Demonstrated ability to influence key decision‑makers throughout the full lifecycle of the sales process.
- Excellent presentation and negotiation skills, combined with strong client relationship management experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex solutions.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet short deadlines, and work with high attention to detail in a fast‑paced environment.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field required
Responsibilities
- Drive sales by identifying cross‑sell and upsell opportunities within an assigned book of existing accounts, while also initiating sales activity with new prospects and managing sales cycles through to closure.
- Collaborate closely with Relationship Managers to drive sales growth within an assigned sales territory for Moody’s Credit Research, Ratings, and Analytics solutions.
- Manage the full lifecycle sales process, including prospecting new clients, leveraging existing client relationships, delivering sales presentations, and leading contract negotiations.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of client organizations and internal processes to guide clients toward appropriate products and licensing solutions.
- Meet established revenue targets while building and strengthening customer relationships to ensure long‑term client satisfaction.
- Provide accurate and up‑to‑date sales forecasts and pipeline information to management.
- Partner with Product Strategists, Marketing Strategists, and other internal stakeholders to leverage subject‑matter expertise throughout the sales cycle and support the promotion of Moody’s solutions.
- Represent the company at industry and company‑sponsored events, as required.
- Operate effectively in a dynamic work environment, including up to 50% travel for face‑to‑face client engagement, while maintaining flexibility through a hybrid working model.
