The Role

Own the Future of Life Sciences R&D. At Veeva, you won't just manage programs—you'll drive monumental, global R&D transformation for our most strategic Vault customers across Europe.

As the Global Program Manager, you are the ultimate owner of success, serving as the executive services partner who strategically aligns Veeva's full ecosystem (Product, Sales, Services) to deliver maximum customer impact. Your mission is to secure customer success with intensity, optimize the adoption of our solutions, and identify opportunities for massive, long-term growth.

This is a remote, full-time role based in the EU or UK, requiring a dedicated blend of on-site customer engagement and remote work.

Qualified candidates must have current legal authorization to work in the EU or UK. Veeva Systems does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status for this employment position.

What You'll Do

  • Own and drive the successful execution of complex, multi-functional Global R&D Vault implementations (Clinical, Regulatory, and Safety) at our strategic accounts, ensuring measurable business impact and financial excellence
  • Forge and cement deep, trusted-advisor relationships with customer IT and business executives to define, secure buy-in for, and govern the long-term R&D transformation roadmaps
  • Strategically lead and align all cross-functional Veeva teams—Sales, Product, Strategy, and Services—acting as the primary executive liaison to deliver unified, outcome-driven programs and unlock maximum value for the customer
  • Champion the growth trajectory of the account by crafting, negotiating, and leading services contracts and implementation proposals that expand customer value and product adoption
  • Act as the ultimate program governance leader by proactively anticipating risks, resolving complex internal and external challenges (the first line of escalation), and inspiring excellence across diverse project teams
  • Ensure long-term success and continuity by overseeing smooth transitions from implementation into post-deployment operations and ongoing customer enablement teams
  • Communicate proactively and with executive clarity, ensuring all stakeholders at all levels are fully aligned, informed, and motivated to achieve world-class results

Requirements

  • Extensive program leadership experience (7+ years) delivering enterprise-scale R&D or GxP technology programs in Pharma (Clinical, Regulatory, or Safety)
  • Deep understanding of Pharmaceutical R&D functions such as Clinical Operations, Regulatory Affairs, Safety, Quality, or Manufacturing
  • Proven consulting expertise supporting enterprise pharma clients across multiple business domains
  • Demonstrated success leading global teams to deliver complex, multi-system implementations with measurable impact
  • Strategic thinker with experience defining technology roadmaps that modernize operations and enable transformation
  • Executive communicator capable of influencing decisions and building alignment across diverse stakeholder groups
  • Resilient problem solver who thrives in ambiguity, negotiates with confidence, and drives accountability without authority
  • Collaborative leader skilled in orchestrating multiple internal and external teams while maintaining high delivery cadence
  • Based in the EU or UK and able to travel up to 25% of the time

Nice to Have

  • Direct experience leading a Veeva Vault implementation (e.g., Clinical, RIM, Quality, Safety)
  • Previous experience with large-scale Software as a Service (SaaS) implementations in the highly regulated GxP environment
