Year 2 Teacher - Good School - Merton - January 2026 Start
An established Good School in Merton is looking to appoint an inspiring and committed Year 2 Teacher for a Full-Time position starting in January 2026 . This is an excellent opportunity to make an impact at the end of KS1, preparing pupils for a smooth and confident transition into Key Stage 2.

From January 2026 , the successful Full-Time Year 2 Teacher will become part of a dedicated team of KS1 practitioners.
The Year 2 Teacher Role
- Teach the Year 2 curriculum with a strong focus on literacy and numeracy foundations.
- Support children in developing resilience and independence ahead of KS2.
- Track, monitor, and assess pupil progress, providing tailored support where needed.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers, building strong partnerships.
- Play a key role in the wider life of the school, including clubs and enrichment.
Requirements
- QTS and proven experience teaching KS1.
- Strong classroom management and ability to motivate pupils.
- A commitment to supporting and developing children academically and personally.
