Occupational Therapist - Hand Therapist

JustOT are looking to recruit a band 6 Hand Therapy Occupational Therapist for a locum position with our client in London.

The pay for this position is £22 - £26 per hour, and we are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible for an ongoing duration.

Successful candidates must hold a degree in occupational therapy and be HCPC registered.

Job Description:
Seeking an experienced and confident Locum Hand Therapist to provide specialist assessment and treatment for a varied caseload of adults and children within a private acute setting in our new purpose built Therapy department.

You will work closely with leading orthopaedic/ hand surgery consultants, supporting patients throughout their rehabilitation journey. Our caseload includes post-surgical hand and wrist trauma, tendon and nerve repairs, fractures, softtissue injuries, and complex upper limb presentations.

Patients are referred from consultants, self-paying individuals, international embassies, and private medical insurers, offering a diverse and rewarding clinical environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong hand therapy experience and proven skills in splint fabrication, wound management, scar management, and evidence-based rehabilitation. Excellent communication is essential - you will be working collaboratively with consultants, patients, families, and at times a multidisciplinary team, ensuring a seamless and professional patient experience. You should be organised, adaptable, and confident working autonomously within a fast-paced, high-quality private hospital.

This is a full time role (37.5hrs/ week) working in a clinic that is open between 8am and 7.30pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 5.30pm on Fridays. No weekend work or on-call expectation.
