Position: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Location: West Drayton, Greater London
Contract: Full-Time, Temporary

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant ready to take the next step in your career? We are looking for a dedicated HLTA to join a fantastic SEN primary school in West Drayton, supporting students with additional learning needs and helping to deliver high-quality education.

The Role

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support the planning and delivery of lessons across the curriculum, working closely with the class teacher.
Provide targeted one-to-one and small group support to students with special educational needs.
Cover lessons in the teacher's absence, ensuring continuity in learning and engagement.
Assist with the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) to meet student needs.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages independence and confidence in students.
Support students with communication, sensory, and behavioral challenges using tailored strategies.

About You

To succeed as a HLTA, you will:

Have experience as a Teaching Assistant, preferably within an SEN setting.
Hold an HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
Be confident in leading small group activities and covering lessons when needed.
Have excellent communication, teamwork, and classroom management skills.
Be passionate about supporting students with additional needs and helping them reach their full potential.
Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
