EMEA Event Manager
Rate: £39.73 per hour PAYE
Career Moves is recruiting an experienced EMEA Event Manager for a leading global technology organisation.
Working within the EMEA Events Team, you will manage a portfolio of live and digital programmes for employees, customers, prospective customers, alliance partners, press and analysts. Events will include conferences, partner summits, executive meetings and customer experiences, alongside large-scale pan-EMEA programmes.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead assigned events from initial planning through to delivery and post-event evaluation.
  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets and key milestones.
  • Coordinate venue research and selection, contracts, catering, staffing and attendee communications.
  • Oversee registration services, event websites, creative services and technical production.
  • Manage speakers, sponsors, agencies, suppliers and branded merchandise.
  • Ensure events remain within budget, meet programme objectives and positively represent the company’s brand.
  • Track event performance and return on investment.
  • Gather and analyse feedback from attendees, stakeholders and partners.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to support integrated marketing activity.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Maintain excellent service levels for internal stakeholders and programme colleagues.
  • Support other EMEA Event Marketing programmes as required.

Skills and experience required

  • At least five years’ successful experience in event project management, event marketing or conference production.
  • Proven experience managing complex corporate or B2B events in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong end-to-end event planning and project management capability.
  • Experience developing and managing event budgets.
  • Confidence leading agencies, venues, suppliers and production partners.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deadlines.
  • Strong stakeholder management, customer service and communication skills.
  • Commercial awareness and an understanding of how events support wider business and sales objectives.
  • A proactive, resourceful and solutions-focused approach.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, together with Google Workspace.
  • Willingness to undertake occasional travel across EMEA, with requirements varying according to the event schedule.
  • French or German language skills would be advantageous but are not essential.
