Benefits of an industry placement

“One benefit of completing a sandwich placement is being able to experience your degree in action and put into practice the knowledge obtained whilst studying. I know when I return to university I will have a greater depth of understanding about my course and the placement could even lead to an early offer on the Graduate Programme.”

“As a sandwich placement student on the rural pathway, no one day is the same, you will receive the same exposure as a Graduate. In a typical day, a sandwich placement student could be gaining experience walking boundaries and inspecting properties, collating comparable evidence for valuations, dealing with residential, commercial or agricultural landlord and tenant issues, carrying out compulsory purchase advice or negotiating terms for access agreements and easements. The breadth of experience that Savills Placement Students obtain is second to none.”
