Deputy Director of Engineering - Iconic Luxury 5 Star Hotel
An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an accomplished engineering professional to join one of London’s most prestigious luxury hotels as Deputy Director of Engineering. This is a senior leadership position for an outstanding operator who thrives in a fast-paced, high-end environment. Working closely with the Director of Engineering, you will lead a highly skilled team, oversee the day-to-day engineering operation, and play a key role in delivering major projects while maintaining the impeccable standards expected of a world-renowned luxury property.
Responsibilities
- Deputising for the Director of Engineering and leading the department in their absence, managing the day-to-day operation of a 26-person engineering team, driving exceptional standards across planned and reactive maintenance programmes, leading engineering projects, refurbishments and construction works while minimising disruption to hotel operations, ensuring full compliance with all statutory regulations, health and safety legislation, and company policies, supporting the development, mentoring and performance of the engineering management team, managing budgets, monitoring expenditure and identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency, working collaboratively with senior hotel leadership to deliver an outstanding guest experience through first-class facilities management.
Requirements
- Significant engineering leadership experience within a luxury hotel environment, valuable construction and project management experience, exceptional people leadership with a proven ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams, strong commercial mindset alongside excellent operational knowledge, calm, decisive and solutions-focused under pressure, passionate about delivering engineering excellence within a world-class hospitality environment.
Benefits
