The Role
We are working with a growing boutique Lloyd’s broker in London seeking an experienced Marine Cargo Broker to join their expanding marine team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated broker to take ownership of a varied international cargo portfolio and play a key role in the continued growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Broking and placement of marine cargo risks into the Lloyd’s and company markets
- Managing and developing an existing portfolio of international clients
- Producing market presentations, slips and underwriting submissions
- Negotiating terms and conditions with underwriters
- Supporting new business development opportunities
- Maintaining strong relationships with clients, underwriters and overseas correspondents
- Ensuring compliance with FCA and Lloyd’s regulatory requirements
Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum 3 years’ experience broking marine cargo risks
- Strong understanding of the Lloyd’s market
- Proven ability to negotiate and place risks effectively
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
